CDECC is the only roster for Canadian practitioners who offer independent or institutional consulting, facilitation, educational program design and content creation specifically for the construction and design sectors in Canada. CDECC practitioners offer course design, delivery, facilitation and workforce development strategies and design.
We guide agencies, associations, governments, colleges and more to appropriate practitioners for developing programs in workforce development, professional development, and more. Our guide for issuing RFP's is under development for buyers of construction education and design education services.
Also known as E+O insurance, all CDECC practitioners can access professional liability insurance at a reduced rate as part of their affiliation with the council. Insurance may not be a first priority for many who see their role as simply facilitating the work of other course developers, however if you develop your own courses, it becomes crucial to protecting yourself and the organizations that engage you. Records are kept up to date and will identify on our listing who is insured. Our goal is to ensure that the practitioners you hire can protect themselves, your organization and respond to a claim should it arise. CDECC encourages practitioners to attend regular skill enhancement that assists them in converting their knowledge of best practices into teaching moments. We offer practitioners skills and exercises for learning in groups, lesson planning, engagement strategies and evaluation strategies that are trusted and time tested.
